The Organizing Committee of IOMU 2026 invites researchers, clinicians, academicians, and occupational health professionals to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations as part of the scientific program.

Categories

Submissions are accepted under the following presentation categories:

  • Oral Presentation
    Short scientific presentations delivered during scheduled oral sessions.
  • Poster Presentation
    Visual presentations displayed during dedicated poster sessions at the congress venue.

Description

Accepted abstracts for oral and poster presentations will be published in the Proceeding of the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Journal of Indonesia (OEMJI).
OEMJI is an open-access, international, peer-reviewed electronic journal, jointly published by the Indonesian Occupational Medicine Specialist Association (IOMA), the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia, and Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana (UKRIDA).

Important Dates

  • Abstract submission opens: December 15th, 2025
  • Abstract submission deadline: February 8th, 2026
  • Abstract review period (Committee use only): January 5th – February 15th, 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: February 22nd, 2026
  • Biographical note and photo submission: April 12th, 2026
  • Full poster/slides submission deadline: April 12th, 2026
  • Poster submission deadline: April 12th, 2026
  • Full paper (proceeding) submission deadline (if applicable): April 19th, 2026
    • Notification to revise the initial paper submission: May 3rd, 2026
    • Full paper (revised version) submission deadline: May 10th, 2026
  • Final Program release: May 10th, 2026

More Information

Please read the following rules carefully before submitting your abstract:

  • Oral Paper and Poster Presentations should concisely describe studies, investigations, observations, or best practices in occupational medicine, health, environment, and safety. It also must align with the topics featured in the IOMU 2026 scientific program.
  • Authors of accepted Oral Paper presentations will be allocated up to 10 minutes for their presentation.
  • Accepted Poster abstracts will be displayed during designated Poster Sessions in a dedicated area of the Congress venue.
  • All abstracts must be submitted online exclusively through the IOMU 2026 Congress website. Please follow the submission guidelines carefully and ensure every section is completed. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
  • Please note that while individuals may be listed as co-authors on multiple abstracts, they may serve as the presenting author for only one submission. The abstract submission form includes a section to indicate who will present the
  • Authors are required to indicate their preferred type of presentation by selecting either ORAL or POSTER from the drop-down menu in the submission web page. However, the reviewer panel will make the final decision on the type of presentation (i.e. oral or poster).
  • Abstracts will be evaluated and scored by peer reviewers based on multiple criteria—such as relevance and importance to occupational health and overall scientific quality.
  • Acceptance as an Oral Paper, Poster Presentation, or rejection will be determined by the rankings assigned across these criteria. The results will be communicated via email to the presenting author, and all decisions of the Committee are final and not subject to appeal.
  • Authors are strongly encouraged not to submit abstracts that are identical to those previously presented at major international scientific meetings before IOMU 2026. Updated or expanded versions of earlier studies are acceptable.
  • Instructions on the preparation of Oral Papers and Posters Presentation will be included with the notification of acceptance.
  • Submission of an abstract indicates
    • The author(s) agree to comply with the abstract submission and presentation guidelines
    • The presentation is based on scientific and/or clinical methods that are ethical and valid
    • All authors have contributed to and approve the abstract and its entire contents.
  • All accepted abstracts will be published in Occupational and Environmental Medicine Journal of Indonesia (OEMJI)
  • Accepted abstracts will be considered official contributions to the scientific program of the Congress.

To ensure successful submission, authors must comply with the following instructions:

  • Abstracts must be written and presented in English. Abstracts that are not written in understandable English will be rejected.
  • Please note that the online submission system does not allow saving and returning to an abstract in progress. Your abstract must be completed and submitted in a single session. If you exit the submission process before finishing, you will need to restart and prepare your abstract again from the beginning.
  • Title, each author’s name, each author’s affiliation, presenting author and the body of the abstract must be provided by completing the online form. Please note that the abstract submission form provides for strict length limits for both the title and the body of the abstract.
    • Title: Use a concise descriptive title of no more than 250 characters that summarize the content of the abstract. Minimize the use of abbreviations in the title. Commercial trade names for drugs, devices, products, and services should NOT be used in the title.
    • Body of Abstract: Overall, the body of the abstract must not be longer than 255 words. The abstract must include the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion. These subheadings must be written in bold and are included in the overall word count. It is NOT satisfactory to simply state that “The results will be discussed”, and these abstracts will be rejected. Only common and standard abbreviations may be used without definition. NO REFERENCES, TABLES, FIGURES, CHARTS OR IMAGES ARE NEEDED IN THE ABSTRACTS.
    • Please review your spelling and grammar thoroughly. Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted, meaning any errors in language or scientific content will appear unchanged in the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Journal of Indonesia (OEMJI).
    • Data must be given in units (International metric system is preferred) that are generally accepted in scientific publications.
    • All co-authors must approve the results and conclusions presented in the abstract and agree to be included as authors through the consent.
    • Research involving humans or animals, or material derived from them, must have been approved by an institutional ethics committee and this approval needs to be explicit in the abstract.

  • Accepted abstracts for oral paper and poster presentations must be registered as IOMU 2026 participants (Presenter)
  • Accepted abstracts for oral paper and poster presentations must be followed with a Full Paper that will be applied as a proceeding at OEMJI using the format according to the following link https://scholarhub.ui.ac.id/oemji/styleguide.html
